Residential DStv Installation in Welgemoed
Most of our Welgemoed work is residential. The suburb mixes older family homes with newer security estate units, and the DStv needs differ. A large house on the ridge might want three decoders and a neat cable route through the roof void. A cluster unit needs a discreet dish and a clean wall plate. Either way, we treat your home like our own: drop sheets down, no drilling without checking the line of sight, and a tidy site when we leave.
A new dish, mount and RG6 coaxial cable run to one decoder. We pick a mounting point with clear line of sight, aim with a satellite signal meter, and seal every connector. Typical Welgemoed homes are done in 90 to 120 minutes.
Extra decoders for the main bedroom, kids' room or flatlet. We fit a multi-output LNB or multiswitch, run separate RG6 coaxial cable to each point, and label the wall plates so future faults are easy to trace. Popular in Welgemoed's larger family homes.
Weak signal, E48-32 or channels dropping out in rain. We test LNB voltage with a multimeter, check the dish aim, and reseal or replace connectors. Most Welgemoed signal faults are fixed on the first visit with parts we carry on the van.
Freezing, restarting or smart card error E143-0. We test the decoder against a known-good signal before condemning it, reseat the card, run firmware updates, and replace the unit only if it has genuinely failed. Pace and Telefunken decoders both handled.
- Upfront pricing before we drill, so there is no surprise on the invoice.
- Signal strength and quality measured and shown to you before we leave.
- Cable clipped and sealed, so the installation survives Cape wind and winter rain.
