Residential DStv Installation on the Estate
Residential work is the bulk of what we do on La Motte Wine Estate and Residences. The estate has a mix of permanent homes, larger family residences and rental units, and each type has its own priorities. Permanent owners usually want a clean install that lasts and a second or third view point for bedrooms and outdoor areas. Rental owners want something robust enough to survive tenant turnover without a callout every few months. Families want the kids' channels and the sport working at the same time, on separate decoders, without one interfering with the other. We size the installation to the household, not to a template, and we meter every point before we leave.
A clean dish mount, a metered aim and a fresh cable run to your main TV point. Most estate homes are done in two to three hours, and we seal every penetration point against winter rain. You get a signal test before we pack up.
Separate decoders for the lounge, bedrooms and patio, fed from one dish through a multiswitch. We run dedicated RG6 coaxial cable to each point and balance the signal so no view point runs weak. Popular in the larger residences here.
When the screen shows E48-32 or E143-0, or the decoder freezes, we test the whole chain and fix the actual cause. Many calls that look like a dead decoder turn out to be a connector or LNB issue, which is a far cheaper fix.
Free-to-air channels for guest cottages and second dwellings, installed and aimed with the same metered setup as a DStv dish. It is a practical option for rental units where a full subscription does not make sense.
- One visit, one invoice: we carry the cable, connectors and brackets needed to finish most installs the same day.
- Fresh F-connectors and sealed joints mean your signal survives the Cape winter instead of failing in the first storm.
- Every view point is metered and labelled, so a future fault is traced in minutes rather than hours.
