Residential DStv Installation in Walmer Estate
Most of our Walmer Estate work is residential, and the jobs vary as much as the housing stock. Family homes on the upper slopes often want dual or triple view setups so everyone can watch something different. Rental flats need compact, tidy installs that satisfy the landlord and the tenant. Older homes sometimes need a full re-cable because the original RG6 coaxial cable has reached the end of its life. Whatever your setup, we plan the installation around your walls, your roof and your viewing habits, not a one-size-fits-all template.
The standard Walmer Estate installation: a new dish, LNB and decoder with a clean cable run to your main TV. We mount the dish where it has a clear northern view, seal the wall entry, and meter the signal before handover. Most jobs are done in two to three hours.
If you want DStv in the lounge and bedrooms, we install a multiswitch and run extra RG6 coaxial cable to each point. Each Explora decoder works independently, so no one has to watch the same channel. We plan cable routes to keep wall damage minimal and clip everything neatly.
Weak signal in bad weather, E48-32 errors and intermittent picture break-up are usually LNB or cable faults. We test the signal at the dish and at the wall plate, replace failed parts with SABS approved components, and re-seal the connections so the fault does not return next winter.
Freezing, slow channel changes and E143-0 smart card errors are common on older decoders in Walmer Estate. We test the power supply, HDMI output and signal input, then repair or replace the unit. If we swap the decoder, we transfer your viewing card so your subscription carries over.
